WG EDU is the education group of EFMI, the European region of IMIA. These are the groups that do similar work in IMIA and in the other world regions.
The IMIA education group. Its aims are close to ours: exchange information on BMHI programmes and courses, keep a database of education programmes, produce the international recommendations, and support the exchange of students and teachers.
Current leadership TO VALIDATE – the public page lists terms that have ended and no activity after 2019.
The second revision (2023) describes what BMHI users, generalists and specialists need to learn in six domain areas. It is the reference for EFMI and IMIA accreditation.
IMIA has six regional members. Each card shows whether we found an education group in that region.

Education group
A community of informatics educators and learners working on competencies, teaching practice, assessment and mentoring, from degree programmes to lifelong learning. Open to AMIA members.
Education group AMIA Education WG
Supports capacity building in health informatics in Africa. It worked on the minimum standards that let students transfer credits between MSc Health Informatics programmes in East Africa, and contributed to the Africa CDC capacity-building strategy.

Education is organised mainly by the national societies of the region.
